- State police located a blue Mongoose pedal bike Oct. 11 on Clearfield Street in Wallaceton Borough. The owner of the bike can contact state police at 814-857-3800.
State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about a theft Sunday on Hill Street in Sykesville Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly took numerous construction-related tools from the victim’s residence. At the time, state police say a dark-colored truck was observed traveling north on Hill Street. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-371-4652.
State police at Punxsutawney
- Saturday state police received a report about a theft that occurred on McCulley Road in Burnside Township. During the incident, someone had allegedly removed a green John Deere tractor from the victim’s storage garage about one week earlier. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-938-0510.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an incident of retail theft that occurred Oct. 22 at Sapp Bros. Truck Stop. Upon investigation, it was found that a 36-year-old Kylertown woman had allegedly removed items from the packaging and started to conceal them in her sweatshirt. Because she is currently on probation, police took the woman into custody and put her in county jail for a violation. Charges for retail theft and receiving stolen property are currently pending at this time.
DuBois City
- Police responded to a reported alarm at the U.S. Post Office on Hoover Avenue. Upon arrival, it was found to be a false alarm.
- Police received a report about a male who made threats while at a Fuller Avenue business. According to police, he left before officers arrived on-scene, and the staff didn’t want him on the premises. Police advised staff to call, if the male returned.
- Police received a report about a counterfeit $50 that was passed at a North Brady Street business. The investigation is continuing at this time.
- Police received a report about a disturbance in the first block of McCracken Run Road. Upon investigation, it was found to be only verbal in nature.
- Police received a report about juveniles throwing tennis balls, which had drawings of obscenities, onto an Andrea Court property. Upon arrival, police advised the juveniles to cease their actions, and also informed their parents of the incident.
- Police received a report about a domestic dispute in the 100 block of Luther Avenue. According to police, it woke the couple’s 21-year-old son who began to trash the residence. His father left before officers arrived on-scene, and he’d gathered his belongings to leave, as well. No charges were filed as a result of the incident.
- Police responded to a reported alarm at the U.S. Post Office on Hoover Avenue. Upon arrival, everything was found to be OK.
- Police received a report about a couple’s argument over $500 on West Scribner Avenue. Upon arrival, police advised the couple to cease their actions, and to resolve the problem peacefully.
