CLEARFIELD – Lock Haven University Clearfield and the Clearfield Educational Foundation will hold their Founder’s Day Convocation and 30th annual awards ceremony, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9 in the Clearfield Academic Building Multipurpose Room on the LHU Clearfield campus.
The ceremony will celebrate Clearfield campus students and their achievements.
The guest speaker for the evening will be Dr. William Curley, retired director of LHU Clearfield. Curley was the director from 2012 to 2018.
In this role, he was responsible for all administrative aspects of campus operation including strategic planning, budget management, recruitment, promotion and marketing, student life and community relations.
Curley enjoyed connecting with the Clearfield community and served on several boards of directors.
Prior to his leadership role at LHU Clearfield, Curley was engaged in outreach, continuing education and workforce development at Penn State University.
In various roles, he had oversight responsibility for branch campus continuing education. This included public enrollment programs, customized training and credit delivery to a wide range of industry sectors.
Curley earned a Doctorate degree in workforce education and development and a Master’s degree in adult education at Penn State University. Curley resides in Beech Creek with his wife, Barb, and they are the parents of two children.
