SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. – A strong all-around game by Clearfield’s Jake Lezzer in a 31-20 win over DuBois helped the Bison win the Week Zero D9Sports.com District 9 Football Player of the Week Award.
On offense, Lezzer hauled down six passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns while adding two carries for 17 yards. On defense, he picked off a pair of passes.
Lezzer is joined in being honored by 15 players being honored on the District 9 Honor Roll for Week Zero.
The Player of the Week and Honor Roll honors will continue through the conclusion of the regular season.
