CLEARFIELD – The Morrisdale Church of Christ presented two $500 scholarships to Clearfield County Career and Technology Practical Nursing students on July 1. These scholarships were presented in memory of member, Edna Maxine Albert Burge.
The scholarships were presented to Kali Herzog and Olivia Cutler. To apply for the scholarship, each was required to write down their “Philosophy of Nursing,” complete an application and have a recommendation letter from a faculty member. The scholarships were also based on financial need.
An additional $500 was presented to the faculty to use for program needs. James Burge, husband of the deceased and Church of Christ pastor, and his daughter, Pat McKnight, MSN RN (former CCCTC faculty member), presented the scholarship monies.
