State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred Wednesday on Huckleberry Lane in Boggs Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed an electric meter, then “jumped” the line directly into the home. The meter was recovered and returned, and the investigation is still ongoing at this time.
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred sometime between July 17 and Wednesday on Trout Run Road in Goshen Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed several items, including scrap metal, from a horse trailer and open buildings. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- State police received a report about a verbal domestic Thursday on Mulch Lane in Graham Township. As a result, a 30-year-old Morrisdale woman was transported to county jail on a 48-hour detainer. At the jail, a corrections officer discovered the woman had allegedly concealed a Suboxone strip in her bra. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment Wednesday on Wood Street in Decatur Township. As a result, charges were filed against a 15-year-old Philipsburg juvenile.
Clearfield Borough
- Police arrested a male, along Nichols Street, after he was reportedly found to be highly intoxicated. Police say he was neither wearing a shirt nor shoes, and he was also lying in parking lots. The male was subsequently transported to the county jail.
- Police arrested a male after he was reportedly found intoxicated and harassing customers. He was subsequently transported to the county jail and charges are pending at this time.
- Police handled a parking complaint along South Second Street.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment on East Sixth Street. Police were able to handle the situation on-scene.
- Police received a report about a disturbance on West Locust Street. Upon arrival, it found that the altercation was between parents and a child; there wasn’t any action taken by police.
- Police were dispatched to Bigler Avenue, where an elderly male was walking along the guardrail and using it to maintain his balance. As police pulled on-scene, the male fell down, striking his head on the roadway. Emergency personnel were summoned to the scene and transported the male for treatment.
- Police received a report of harassment that occurred at Lower Witmer Park.
Lawrence Township
- Police responded to a reported hit-and-run crash Wednesday in the area of Park Avenue Extension and the Clearfield-Curwensville Highway. According to police, they were able to locate the driver – a 17-year-old Houtzdale juvenile – who had fled the scene. She was suspected of being under the influence of a controlled substance, and was transported to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital for a legal blood draw. She was allegedly found in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a report about a retail theft Thursday involving a 35-year-old Brisbin woman at the Wal-Mart Supercenter. Upon further investigation, she was allegedly found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and on probation. She was transported to the county jail with charges pending for retail theft and other offenses.
- Police served an arrest warrant on 21-year-old Haley Couturiaux of Clearfield on Thursday on Carrs Hill Road. She was allegedly found to be in possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. Contact was also made with 33-year-old Clearfield man who police say was in possession of paraphernalia. Couturiaux was transported to county jail and housed on the warrant; charges are currently pending against both at this time.
DuBois City
- On Wednesday police were dispatched to West Scribner Avenue concerning a welfare check. According to police, a male had reported a known female has a history of drug use, made calls asking for money and didn’t make any sense. Upon arrival, contact was made and the female appeared to be OK, and not under the influence. Police cleared the scene and notified the caller.
- On Wednesday police encountered three individuals who were igniting fireworks outside of Coyote Joe’s. Contact was made and they were told to leave the area.
- Police received a report about a suspicious odor coming from an apartment on Wednesday. Upon arrival, officers were unable to detect any odors and cleared the scene.
