State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about a violation of a Protection from Abuse order Sunday on Churner Road in Beccaria Township. During the incident, a 38-year-old Ramey man allegedly contacted the victim via text-message and asked about a male in her residence. Charges have been filed through the district court.
- State police received a report about a suspicious person Friday on the Allport Cutoff in Morris Township. According to state police, two males were walking onto the victim’s property and when she opened the door of her residence, they quickly ran toward the road and got into an unknown vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
- State police received a report about an inactive domestic dispute Saturday at a private residence, located on Wooleaver Drive, in Boggs Township. During the incident, a West Decatur couple was involved in a verbal altercation that allegedly turned physical in nature. Both parties sustained injuries as a result of the incident, state police say, and were arrested for simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment through the district court. Then, the couple was transported to and lodged in county jail.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to an alarm along North Second Street. Upon arrival, it was found it had been set off by an employee.
- Police assisted a motorist whose vehicle had become disabled along South Front Street. Police provided traffic control until the vehicle was able to be removed from the roadway.
- Police responded to an animal complaint along West Market Street. According to police, a dog was running in and out of traffic. It was later located along River Road and its owner was notified to respond.
- Police assisted with a medical emergency on South Third Street.
- Police received a report about a disorderly male on Williams Street.
- Police reported that a male was arrested along Market Street after he was discovered to have an active warrant.
- Police received a report about a suspicious female along East Pine Street. Further, police searched the area but were unable to locate her.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment on East 10th The male fled on foot prior to police arrival, and police say he has several active warrants.
- Police handled a noise complaint along Turnpike Avenue.
- Police had a male taken to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital for a mental health evaluation. The male had reportedly called police regarding someone being shot; however, his report was unfounded.
- Police arrested a male along Weaver Street after he was discovered to have an active warrant through the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office.
- Police received a report about a disturbance on East Locust Street. Upon arrival, it was found a couple had engaged in an argument.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a female on Hannah Street. Upon arrival, everything was found to be OK.
- Police arrested a female and transported her to county jail after she allegedly attempted to enter an East Market Street residence. Also, police say she was highly intoxicated and attempted to resist officers.
- Police assisted a motorist with a flat tire along Daisy Street.
- Police arrested a male for allegedly assaulting a female on West Locust Street. Upon arrival, officers say he was about to strike the female but was taken into custody; he was also found to be intoxicated. The male was put in county jail for the incident.
- Police received a report about a disturbance on East Market Street. Upon arrival, police spoke with both parties who denied any involvement.
- Police were requested to assist emergency personnel along Fourth Street. As a result, a female was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a theft Saturday on Riverview Road. During the incident, someone allegedly stole the victim’s bike while he was fishing in the area. He described it as being a yellow “gravity” mountain bike with a large sticker on its frame. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
- Police reported a drug-related DUI that occurred Sunday on the Clearfield-Shawville Highway. During a traffic stop, a 32-year-old Clearfield man was allegedly determined to be under the influence of methamphetamine. He later consented to a legal blood draw and was ultimately housed in county jail on a 48-hour detainer.
- Police reported a drug violation occurred Thursday on the Clearfield-Shawville Highway. During a traffic stop, a 25-year-old Clearfield man, identified as Robert Lombardo, was found to have outstanding warrants. When he was taken into custody, he was allegedly in possession of a controlled substance; he was subsequently housed in county jail.
- Police reported on a fleeing and eluding incident that occurred Friday on Washington Avenue. While on routine patrol, officers observed a blue Pontiac with suspended plate information. However, its driver allegedly accelerated at a high rate of speed. After a short pursuit, the vehicle struck a tree and was towed from the scene. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- On Friday police were requested to check the welfare of a Lewis Road resident in Glen Richey. Upon arrival, officers determined a 39-year-old male was in need of medical attention, and he was taken to the hospital for an evaluation and treatment.
- Police conducted a warrant service Saturday at the Lawrence Park Village, at which time Rick Smith, 58, of Clearfield was taken into custody without incident. He was subsequently transported and housed in county jail.
- Police reported on a traffic stop that resulted in drug violations Sunday on River Road. When they approached the vehicle, officers say a large, vacuum-sealed bag containing marijuana was seen in plain view; further search yielded a scale, numerous plastic baggies and various items of drug paraphernalia. A 46-year-old Clearfield man was allegedly in possession of marijuana, baggies and drug paraphernalia; a 34-year-old Woodland woman was in possession of a scale, which belonged to the man, and drug paraphrenia. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a report about an incident of disorderly conduct Thursday at the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center. As a result, a male and female student were cited through the district court.
DuBois City
- Police were requested to check the welfare of someone at a South Main Street residence on Thursday. Upon arrival, everything was found to be OK.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle crash Thursday in the 100 block of North Brady Street. According to police, a driver was motioned to pull from the Sheetz parking lot. However, they failed to yield the right-of-way to another vehicle that was traveling north in the center lane. No injuries were reported as a result, and both vehicles were driven from the scene. Police assisted the drivers with the exchange of information.
- Police received a report about a male looking inside a parked vehicle Thursday in the 200 block of South Main Street. Upon arrival, officers located him in the area of Spring Avenue and discovered he was a “paper boy.” He told police he was “resting,” not looking into any vehicles. Police requested that he stay away from the vehicles.
- Police arrested a 27-year-old Sigel man for DUI after a traffic stop Friday along Maple Avenue. He was reportedly under the influence of alcohol to the degree he was incapable of safely driving a vehicle. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a report about a domestic disturbance Friday on DuBois Street. However, upon arrival, officers determined there wasn’t any cause for an arrest.
- Police received a report about a retail theft Friday at a local business on DuBois Street. According to police, employees saw a customer conceal a can of spray paint in his clothing. When he was detained and searched, he was allegedly in possession of eight cans of spray paint valued at $42.92. Police have cited the 37-year-old DuBois man for the incident.
- Police arrested a 24-year-old Falls Creek man for DUI after a traffic stop Friday on Franklin Street. He was reportedly under the influence of alcohol to the degree he was incapable of safely driving a vehicle. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run crash Saturday on North Second Street. According to police, a resident’s vehicle was struck while it was parked along the roadway between 9:30 p.m. and 10 a.m. No further information was available.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle crash Saturday on Quarry Avenue. No injuries were reported as a result, and both vehicles were driven from the scene. Police assisted the drivers with the exchange of information.
- Police received a report about a loose dog Saturday on East Washington Avenue. Officers caught the dog and were able to return it to its owner. Police cited the owner for the violation.
- Police received a report about a disturbance Saturday on North Brady Street. Upon arrival, police found a mother and daughter were having an argument inside an apartment building.
