Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a theft that occurred Tuesday on South Second Street. During the incident, someone allegedly took a black, deep-cycle battery. Charges are currently pending review of surveillance video.
Sandy Township
- On Friday police received a report about a woman who was behind the wheel of a vehicle in the Vape Vibe parking lot and who appeared to be slumped over with a white substance coming from her mouth. Upon arrival, police found the woman was awake, but she unable to respond to basic questions. Suspected drugs and paraphernalia were also found in the vehicle. She was identified as a 29-year-old Reynoldsville woman and taken into custody; she was then turned over to state parole. Charges have been filed for public intoxication.
- On Friday police received a report about a possible intoxicated parent at Wasson Elementary School. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 24-year-old DuBois woman who appeared to be under the influence; she was subsequently escorted to her residence.
- On Friday police were contacted by a 31-year-old South Main Street woman who reported that someone had scratched an obscene word into her vehicle while it was parked in front of her residence.
- On Friday police were contacted by a witness after she reportedly saw a man “lunge” at a woman in the Burger King parking lot and then grab her by the neck. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the couple.
- Police received a report about a disturbance at a Treasure Lake residence on Friday. According to police, a woman said that her 43-year-old ex-husband arrived and kicked in her door. He allegedly began threatening her and her son. He also become belligerent with officers on-scene; however, they were able to calm him down. The man was eventually released to a friend.
- On Saturday police were contacted by a 56-year-old Sandy Township woman who reported that a former employee had left harassing messages on other employees’ phones. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Sunday police received a report about a blue/gray Ford vehicle being driven erratically in the area of Shaffer Road. However, officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
- On Monday police were contacted by Nelson’s Golden Years employees who reportedly saw someone with a flashlight in the woods just below the facility. Officers searched the area but could not locate anyone.
- On Monday police were contacted by a Treasure Lake woman who reported receiving a phone call from a suspicious person. She advised police she’d released personal information before realizing it was a scam.
- On Monday police were contacted by a Treasure Lake man who reported several kids had been “fooling around” with his company equipment. Minor damage was reported as a result.
