Curwensville has two PIAA Class “A” titles, one in 2007 and the other in 2009 along with three District-9 championships. The Lady Tide won the “A” titles in 2007 and 2009, and a “AA” crown in 2013.
Still in the “AA“ classification Curwensville enters this years tournament as the number four seed with a

Monday’s winner will travel to the number one seed on Wednesday to face Redbank Valley (10-5), who received a bye into the semifinals. That game is also schedule to start at 4 pm.
Also, on Monday at 4 pm, Moniteau (7-12), seeded sixth, travels to Cranberry (10-5) in the quarterfinals.
In last season’s District playoffs Moniteau defeated Curwensville 7-3 in first round action.
The number two seed, Johnsonburg (11-6), also received a bye to advance to the semi-finals against the winner of the Moniteau – Cranberry battle. That semifinal contest will also be played on Wednesday at 4 pm on the Ramettes home field..
Heindl Field in DuBois will be the site of the championship game on Thursday, May 30, at 4 pm.
The Lady Tide have already beaten Kane twice this season, 15-0 at home and then 11-8 on the road.
In the 15-0 win the Lady Tide only had to play three innings as the 15-run mercy rule came into effect. However, on May 7 at Kane, Curwensville had to rally in the later innings to pull out the victory. Kane had a one run edge, 7-6, after four innings before the Lady Tide rallied with four tallies in the top of the fifth inning and one more run in the seventh to pull out that 11-8 win.
