CLEARFIELD – A community gathering will be held to recognize the 10th anniversary of the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC).
It’ll take place at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at the Moena Restaurant, 215 E. Market St., Clearfield.
In 2008, the CRC began rallying residents, government officials, volunteers, business owners and other key stakeholders around a central cause.
Its cause was: “Leading the Revitalization of the All-American People, Places and Spirit of Clearfield, Pa.”
During the gathering, attendees will hear about the CRC’s successes over the past 10 years, along with its vision for the next five years.
Attendees will also be given the opportunity to offer ideas and suggestions, according to CRC Main Street Manager Loretta Wagner.
The CRC will introduce and recognize its current board of directors. Its officers include Lisa Kovalick, president; Joseph Valenza, vice president; Karen Miller, secretary; and Leslie Stott, treasurer.
Other board members include: James Schell, Shay Flanagan, Terri Davis, Jody Grumblatt, Rob Edwards, Robert Way, Arianne Greslick, Heather Bozovich and Maria Lemmo.
The community gathering is open to all business owners and their employees, residents, volunteers and social clubs. All ages are welcome; it’s a free event.
“[You can] meet the faces of the CRC and learn about the Main Street approach,” Wagner said, adding, “It’s an exciting time to be part of downtown revitalization in Clearfield.”
The CRC requests an RSVP in advance to account for attendance and space. Please RSVP to the CRC by Friday, April 19, at 814-765-6000 or e-mail at DiscoverClearfield@gmail.com.
