State police at DuBois
- State police reported on a drug-related DUI that occurred Nov. 12 on DuBois-Rockton Road in Sandy Township. According to state police, a 36-year-old Falls Creek man was stopped for committing several summary traffic violations. While speaking with him, state police detected an odor of burnt and processed marijuana coming from within the vehicle. A subsequent search allegedly yielded a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Charges are currently pending at this time.
Clearfield Borough
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with attempting to locate a male who had fled from the scene of a vehicle crash on Gulich Avenue.
- Police received a report about a vehicle that appeared to have hopped the curb on South Second Street. Then, it had become stuck in some shrubbery. Police were able to notify the owner and they were going to move the vehicle.
- Police received a report about a female who had left a South Second Street residence and hadn’t come back home. However, she later returned home.
- Police checked the welfare of two males who were sitting along East Walnut Street. Further, police learned that their vehicle had become disabled.
- Police received a report about a vehicle that was traveling the wrong way on Second Street. However, police were unable to locate the vehicle.
- Police received a report about barking dogs on West Locust Street. However, police were unable to locate any noise in the area.
- Police handled an incident of harassment via communication from a Weaver Street resident.
- Police located a male in Lower Witmer Park after hours and discovered he was in need of medical attention. Emergency personnel were contacted and responded to the location; the male was transported to the hospital.
- Police stopped a vehicle in the Clearfield Driving Park. It was found the driver had an active warrant through the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office.
Sandy Township
- On Friday police received a report about an incident of harassment. According to police, a known 22-year-old DuBois woman was harassing another woman regarding checking the welfare of her child. Police handled the situation without incident.
- Police reported a false alarm Friday at a Treasure Lake residence.
- On Friday police received a report about a retail theft that occurred at Wal-Mart. During the incident, an unknown female took two Hatchimals from the store without paying for them. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Friday police received a report from a tractor-trailer driver who related that he had backed into another truck in the Pilot parking lot, causing minor damage.
- On Friday police received a report about kids driving around and smashing mailboxes. However, the vehicle was gone upon police arrival.
- Police reported a false alarm Saturday at Hawbaker Inc.
- On Saturday police received a report from a 70-year-old Treasure Lake man who stated that someone hit his vehicle with a paintball while it was parked in his driveway.
- On Saturday police received a report from a 29-year-old Rossiter man who stated that he laid his wallet down on the counter at Wal-Mart and forgot to pick it up. When he went back, it was gone. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Sunday. According to police, a pick-up truck driven by a 24-year-old Brockway man traveled off Clear Run Road. His vehicle went through a yard and came to rest against a tree, sustaining moderate to severe damage. Police say he failed to report the crash until three hours later.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle crash Sunday. According to police, a 17-year-old Sykesville boy lost control of his vehicle in the DuBois Mall parking lot. It subsequently hit a light pole head-on, causing moderate front-end damage to his vehicle. No injuries were reported as a result, and the boy was cited for careless driving.
