State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of public drunkenness that occurred Friday at a Lowes Hill Road residence in Morris Township. During the incident, a known 52-year-old man was allegedly under the influence of alcohol to the degree that he appeared intoxicated in public. Charges have been filed through the district court.
- State police reported on an incident of DUI that occurred Saturday in the area of Main and Trolley streets in Cooper Township. According to state police, a vehicle was observed stuck in a ditch and its driver – a 21-year-old man – was under the influence of alcohol. He was also allegedly in possession of a firearm without a license. State police will file charges against the man as a result of the incident.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Saturday on the Chestnut Grove Highway in Penn Township. During the incident, a couple allegedly engaged in an argument that turned physical when a female struck a male on the hand. State police say he retaliated by grabbing and shoving her. Both were cited for harassment through the district court.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an assault that occurred Aug. 27 on Route 119 in Young Township. During the incident, a 23-year-old Rossiter woman and a 23-year-old Punxsutawney woman were allegedly engaged in a fight in a parking lot. Both will be charged for the incident through the district court.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred between Aug. 4 and Thursday on Main Street in Fox Township. During the incident, someone allegedly made 24 different transactions, which totaled $2,098.16, on the victim’s credit card.
Lawrence Township
- Police reported on a drug violation that occurred Friday on Washington Avenue. According to police, a speeding vehicle was stopped and when contact was made, an odor of marijuana was detected. A search of the vehicle allegedly yielded a small amount of marijuana, which the passenger said belonged to him. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Thursday at the Lawrence Park Village. A woman told police she was pushed by her husband, causing her to fall into a toy box. She wasn’t injured and police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Sandy Township
- Police received a report about a false alarm Friday at NAPA Auto Parts.
- Police received a report about a 911 hang-up call Friday at NAPA Auto Parts. It was found to be accidental.
- On Friday police received a report about two individuals walking through the backyard of a Home Camp residence. A witness saw the couple shining flashlights and trying to hide behind apple trees. However, the couple was gone upon police arrival.
- On Friday police received a report from a Clearfield man who stated that he had accidently left his wallet and cell phone on his vehicle when he left the Wal-Mart parking lot. His phone had stayed on his vehicle the entire way home; however, his wallet had fallen off before he reached the interstate.
- On Saturday police received a report from an 84-year-old man with regards to a theft. He stated that cash, along with a wallet containing more cash, identification and credit cards, had been taken from his apartment on West Long Avenue.
- On Saturday police received a report from a 58-year-old Minns Road resident who stated that someone had been tampering with her wireless surveillance system, causing there to be footage missing. She requested extra patrols in the area.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle crash Saturday. According to police, an 18-year-old girl lost control of her vehicle while traveling on Eastern Avenue. At the time, she was attempting to adjust her seat and her foot slipped off the brake. Her vehicle travelled off the road and impacted a tree, causing it to become disabled. Minor injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
- On Sunday police reported that two tractor-trailers were involved in a minor accident in the Pilot parking lot.
- On Sunday police received a report from a Juniata Street Extension resident who had heard gunshots in the area. However, officers were unable to hear anything or locate the source of the possible gunshots.
- On Sunday police reported that a 51-year-old South Brady Street woman called 911 when her daughter and her boyfriend arrived at the house to visit. Upon arrival, it was determined the woman’s 67-year-old husband wanted them there so officers cleared the scene.
