PENFIELD – Parker Dam State Park has confirmed additional presenters for the Sustainability Fair on Thursday, Aug. 23, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
St. Francis University’s Institute for Energy will be there with the tiny classroom demonstrating solar, wind and biomass energies.
Clearfield County Conservation District will model water conservation techniques while Presque Isle State park will answer questions on its electric/hybrid vehicles.
The Orner Dairy Farm will highlight ways to support local dairy farms and help you milk a wooden cow. And PA Wilds will be there to explain the importance of buying locally.
These presenters join staff from USDA/NRCS, Down to Earth Garden Club, the Clearfield County Soild Waste Authority, Bureau of State Forests, BUDS garden club, and Wildlife Habitat Unlimited in highlighting new techniques, products and choices you can use to live a lifestyle reflecting concern for natural resources, people and a healthy economic system.
