“Shooting Heroin,” a Hollywood Independent Feature Film, to Have Open Casting Call for Actors of All Ages at Rowland Theatre
Hollywood, CALIF. — “Shooting Heroin” is opening its audition process to find local talent to have speaking roles in its upcoming production.
This movie is a large ensemble cast that requires many actors and actresses to make this story come to life.
Hard Faith Films Inc., out of Hollywood, Calif., and SpenceTF Productions (originally based out of Morrisdale, Pa.) are working with the historic Rowland Theatre in Philipsburg, Pa., to host an open casting call for actors and actresses of all ages this Saturday from 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Actors can show up anytime throughout that time period. To prepare, a short monologue can be presented on stage in front of the panel or sides from one of the five principal roles may be read instead. All auditions will be taped for further deliberation.
The production company and its producers encourage anyone to come out who may be interested in being a part of a major motion picture. No roles in the film have been cast at this point, but a casting director and major agency have been contacted for some of the principal roles.
The actors who attend in person this Saturday will be given priority to top roles and many cameos and background roles in the movie.
“Shooting Heroin” will begin principal photography this fall in the local areas, including Clearfield and Centre counties. The plot line of the movie is about a small-town community that comes together to eliminate heroin.
The genres are action, revenge and cause. The synopsis for the movie is that the heroin/opioid epidemic is a crisis destroying small-town America and our youth.
One small town has had enough, and its residents will do whatever it takes to eliminate heroin from its community by whatever means necessary.
