CURWENSVILLE – Canines and their companions turned out by the dozens to participate in the second Four-legged Field Trip organized for the public by members of the Mountain Laurel Kennel Club. The group posed for this photo at Curwensville Lake recently after hiking the Eagle’s Nest Trail and watching a brief demonstration on basic obedience, conducted by Nancy Myrter of Class Act Dog Training.
MLKC is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to fostering responsible dog ownership. “One of the ways we can help people become better dog owners is to provide fun things for people to do with their dogs,” stated Linda Dale, club member. “These field trips are an absolute delight.”
Pleasant weather brought 10 club members and 15 guests from the public, together with more than 20 dogs of all breeds and sizes for the second of four planned field trips. All MLKC field trips are free and are designed to take advantage of the beautiful recreation parks in Clearfield County. Information on MLKC and the remaining two outings can be found online.
