IRVONA – The Relatives as Parents Program of the Children’s Aid Society will hold an open house May 15 from 1 p.m. -3 p.m. at the Glendale Valley Spirit of Truth Church, located at 1943 Dorsey Ave., Irvona.
The free program is designed to assist grandparents and other relatives who have taken on the role of primary caregiver to related children.
The main component of the program is a monthly support group where caregivers can share their struggles and successes of parenting a second time around.
RAPP also provides access to other educational opportunities within the agency and community.
A second open house will be held at Children’s Aid Society in Clearfield on May 21 at 6 p.m. during the regular meeting of the Clearfield group.
