CLEARFIELD – An Ebensburg man will spend up to three years in state prison for his connection to a camp burglary.
Roger Lee Albright II, 34, pleaded guilty before President Judge Fredric J. Ammerman Monday to a felony count of receiving stolen property.
He was sentenced to 15 months to three years in state prison and he must pay over $7,000 in restitution. Originally he was also charged with burglary.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, in February of 2017, the owner of a hunting camp in LaJose put out a Facebook message regarding a burglary of his property and offered a cash reward for any information.
This led to a tip that someone had seen some of the missing items at Albright’s residence. This included a television mounted on the wall, trail cameras, slippers and a rifle.
Albright was trying to sell the trail cameras that matched the ones from the camp.
When a search warrant was executed on Albright’s residence on Feb. 17, 2017, police found the rifle, television, trail cameras and other missing objects.
The victim estimated the cost of the missing items to be approximately $3,895, but police were only able to locate about $1,735 worth of merchandise at the home.
Damage to the camp, a shed and a turkey mount was estimated at $1,472.
