Joseph E. Venerick, 77, of Clearfield died Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Knickerbocker Villa.
Mr. Venerick was born Feb. 11, 1941 in Centre Hall, the son of Paul D. and Freeda M. (Summers) Venerick.
He was a graduate of the Clearfield High School and the Williamsport Area Community College.
Mr. Venerick retired from PennDOT, having worked as a bridge inspector.
He was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church of Clearfield.
Mr. Venerick was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam era.
He was a life member of the Clearfield Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge No. 540. He was an avid hunter.
He is survived by a sister, Judith Hosheit of Westerly, R.I., and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Venerick was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Linda Snyder and Charlotte Willis; and a brother, Paul Venerick Jr.
Honoring Mr. Venerick’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Zion Hill Cemetery, Centre Hall, with the Rev. John White officiating.
