Norman V. “Bud” Dale, 91, of Clearfield died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
He was born Jan. 29, 1927, the son of the late Edgar and Rilla (McKee) Dale.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He went on to work for District 20 Office for PennDOT as a construction inspector.
He was a member of the Elks, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Clearfield-Curwensville Country Club, Coudersport Consistory, Masonic Lodge 555 and Accepted Masons in Duke Center, Pa., and Zem Zem Temple, Erie, Pa.
He is survived by his sister, Barbara D. Burns of Hollidaysburg and several nieces and nephews, Jeffery Johnston of Mill Hall, Dr. Kimberly Johnston of Reading, Robert D. Burns of Deerfield Beach, Fla., Susan Burns of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and Scott Burns of Hollidaysburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Betty D. Johnston and long-time companion, Janet K. McCamley.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. April 27 at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. with the Rev. Robert Way officiating. Full military honors will be accorded by the VFW. Burial will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
