Barbara Diane Jones, 63, of Ginter went to be with the Lord on March 25, 2018 at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born Sept. 1, 1954 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Jack Smith and Pauline Coulter Bell.
On July 31, 1996, she met Lawrence Jones, who survives at home, and on July 23, 2004, they wed at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield. She was the love of his life, best friend and confidant.
Surviving, along with her husband, are her children, William Nearhood and his wife, Justine of Kunkletown, Pa., and their children, Ciara, Alayna, Ashlyn, Mika and Kassia; a great-grandson, Quinton Gene Lancaster; and step-daughters, Inez Rourk and her husband, Richard of Goose Creek, SC, and their children, Ryan, Tyler and Emma and Jessica D. Jones of Summerville, SC and her daughter, Samantha.
Also surviving is her brother, Allan Lynn Bell and his wife Emma of Siler City, NC.
Family and friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Services, Morrisdale, and again from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Wayne Shaffer officiating. Burial will be in Fairview United Methodist Cemetery, Morrisdale RD.
