LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision Friday afternoon in Lawrence Township.
According to Lawrence Township police, the collision occurred at 1:10 p.m. at the intersection of Montgomery Run and Clarks Hill roads.
A 66-year-old Clearfield man was attempting to turn left from Clarks Hill Road onto Montgomery Run Road. He reportedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic and turned directly into the path of a vehicle operated by Kateri Moore, 27, of Hyde.
After the collision, both vehicles came to a rest along the south shoulder. Moore was extricated from the vehicle by members of the Clearfield Fire Company. She was subsequently taken by ambulance to an awaiting medical helicopter.
Moore was flown to the Altoona Hospital; she was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision. The man was taken by ambulance to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital for medical treatment of injuries.
Police say charges are pending against the man through the district court in Clearfield.
