Linda R. Heatherdale, 74, of Treasure Lake, DuBois, died Monday, Feb. 26, 2018 at her home.
Born April 12, 1943 in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Gerald M. and Nancy (DeSalve) Royer.
On Nov. 30, 2001, she married George E. Heatherdale. He survives.
She worked many years at the Matthews Hallmark store in the DuBois Mall. Prior to that, she worked at Wolf’s Furniture for more than 12 years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in DuBois. She was also a member and past president of the former Junior Woman’s Club in DuBois.
She was one of the founding members of the New Horizon’s Singles Group. She loved to go to garage sales and cook, and most of all, she loved family gatherings.
She is survived by three sons, Robert “Mike” Coder and Brent P. Coder and his wife, Susan, both of DuBois, and Brian A. Coder and his wife, Suzanne of Luthersburg; one daughter, Jody Lindemuth and her husband, Michael of Brockway; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Ryan, Colton, Jeremiah and Brandon Coder, Macy Cressley, KyLea Hy and Amanda Meyers; and two great-grandchildren, RyLynn and KayDyn.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert D. Coder and a brother, Michael W. Royer.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. with Pastor Lance Tucker officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
