Arlene A. Burket, 91, of Treasure Lake, DuBois, and formerly of East Freedom, Pa., died Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 at her home.
Born Aug. 2, 1926 in Roaring Spring, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lucy (Miller) Biddle.
In 1945 she married Gerald C. Burket Sr. He preceded her in death in 1981.
She retired from Veeder Root in Duncansville after more than 30 years of service.
She was a member of the “Crazy Ladies Book Club.” She also belonged to many card clubs.
She was a member of the United Veterans Association Club of Blair County. She loved to read and play games, go to the casino and drink wine with her friends.
She is survived by a son, David A. Burket and his wife, Diana of Leola, Pa.; two daughters, Lucinda A. Dixon of Durham, NC and Robin L. Cameron and her husband, Russ of DuBois; a brother, Samuel Biddle of Vinco, Pa.; a sister, Joyce Hainly of Hollidaysburg; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren with another on the way.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debora Burket and a son, Gerald C. Burket Jr.
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 3 at the Grace Fellowship Church, Broadway & 15th Avenue, Altoona, PA. Burial will be in Blair Memorial Park.
Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
