CLEARFIELD/PHILIPSBURG – State police in based in Clearfield and Philipsburg have announced the results of two details that were recently carried out.
On July 5 members of Troop C and the Clearfield County DUI Strike Force, which consisted of one member of each of the following police departments, Decatur Township and Clearfield Borough ran a sobriety checkpoint.
Six DUI arrests were made, one person was arrested for a felon fleeing and eluding, a person was arrested for reckless endangerment, one person was arrested for resisting arrest, a person was arrested for public drunkenness, 18 traffic citations were issued and 10 written warnings were issued.
The Philipsburg barracks reported that on July 3, along US Route 322 in Centre County, police conducted a selected traffic enforcement against drunk driving.
Eight troopers participated and 168 motorists were contacted. Three child restraint citations were issued, one speeding citation was issued, one driving under suspension citation was issued, four underage drinking citations were issued, seven other traffic related citations were issued and 21 warning notices were issued.
