William L. Yarger, 74, of Rochester, NY and formerly of Osceola Mills, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018 at the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in Rochester, NY.
Born July 23, 1943 in West Decatur, he was the son of the late Wayne and Maude (Harry) Yarger. He was of the Christian faith.
Mr. Yarger was retired from Rochester Products. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a 1961 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola High School.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Wayne Yarger Jr.
He is survived by one daughter, Tricia A. Yarger and her husband, Andy Hopkins of New York, NY; one son, Billy L. Yarger of Rochester, NY; one sister, Maxine Wright and her husband, Bill of Palmyra, NY; and two grandchildren, Willow and Benjamin Yarger.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services LLC in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Harold Harry officiating. Burial will be at the Sanborn Cemetery in RD Houtzdale.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home.
Military honors will be accorded by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard at the cemetery.
