Catherine Bartosh, 100, of Colonia, NJ and formerly of Houtzdale died Sunday at Care One at the Highlands in Edison, NJ with her loving family by her side.
Born on Jan. 5, 1910 in Madera, she was the daughter of the late Wasco and Anna (Dorth) Holobinko. She was a member of the Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale.
Mrs. Bartosh was employed for 20 years as a housekeeper for attorney J. Howard Smith of Houtzdale.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joseph Bartosh; and nine siblings, Mike, Andy, Frank, Basil, George, John and Samuel and Irene Jones and Stella Anna.
She was survived by three siblings, Peter Hall of Banning, CA; Mary Boone of Fostoria, OH; and Annie Hawkins and her husband, Herbert of Glen Hope.
Mrs. Bartosh was survived by one son, Edward Holobinko and his wife, Darlene of Colonia, NJ.
She’s survived by five grandsons, Damian Holobinko and his wife, Laura; Douglas Holobinko and his wife, Michell; Jonathan and his fiancée, Corrine; Jason Holobinko and his wife, Stephanie; and Michael Holobinko. She’s also survived by six great-grandchildren, Connor, Samantha, Matthew, Grace, Ashley and Addison.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale.
Visitation will be held from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home. A procession will leave there for the church.
Interment will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Brisbin.
