PennDOT issues the following update for I-80 work in Clearfield County. Motorists can expect the following activity the week of Aug. 30. All work is weather and schedule dependent. Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College is the contractor on this $53 million project.
WESTBOUND:
- The travel (right) lane will remain closed from mile-marker 115 to mile-marker 112 until Sept. 1.
- Starting Sept. 1, all westbound lanes will be open for Labor Day holiday travel.
- Speed will remain at 55 mph through the holiday.
EASTBOUND:
- From Aug. 27 through Sept. 2, the passing (left) lane will be
closed from mile-marker 105.5 to mile-marker 113.
- During these dates, nighttime paving will take place from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- As of 12:01 a.m., Sept. 3, all eastbound lanes will be open for Labor Day holiday travel.
- Speed will remain at 55 mph through the holiday.
OVERALL PROJECT
- Up-to-date travel information should be available to drivers on the Highway Advisory Radio System (HARS) at 1640 on the AM radio dial.
- Work is expected to run through October of this year.
