PITTSBURGH – Patients interested in obtaining a Pennsylvania medical marijuana card can now see the five-step process in an easy-to-understand viral video released by Cresco Yeltrah on Thursday.
The ?Get Ready for Relief? animated video was produced as an explainer video showing patients exactly what they need to do to get registered with the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
A digital help desk was also launched to answer patients? questions directly.
Cresco-Yeltrah says it?s important for patients and medical professionals to know how to access the program and to educate them on the process.
?As part of our ongoing education campaign, we have created this sharable, easy-to-understand video that thoroughly explains to patients the process of getting a card,? said Charles Bachtell, Cresco Yeltrah co-founder.
?We hope doctors? offices, patients and the media will share this video to help educate the community as this program kicks off.?
The one-minute and 30-second video identifies the five steps necessary to get a state-issued card.
The detailed steps include reviewing the approved conditions, discussing medical marijuana with your diagnosing physician, getting a letter certifying your condition, making sure your doctor is state-certified to recommend marijuana and submitting the state-issued application.
It states that applicants must have proof of Pennsylvania residency, pay a $50 fee when submitting the application as well as provide a passport size photo.
The online help desk will quickly respond to patients addressing any issues they have with creating a patient account, accessing the doctor registry or applying for their card.
Both the video and the help desk can be accessed and shared at www.stateofrelief.com as well as on YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook.
This latest educational piece from Cresco Yeltrah is part of its ?State of Relief? outreach campaign, geared towards people who have been diagnosed with any of the approved 17 serious medical conditions.
In addition to the video and help desk, the campaign includes nearly a half-million dollars spent in newspaper, magazine, transit, billboards, social media and health-related publications.
Cresco Yeltrah was awarded two permits in the state?s very rigorous application process and will be opening a cultivation facility in Brookville and dispensaries in Butler, Pittsburgh (Strip District), and a third location soon to be announced.
Cresco is currently the largest medical marijuana producer in the state of Illinois where they produce a unique array of innovative pharmaceutical-grade products ranging from high CBD strains, extracted oils, transdermal patches and pills.
