State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of terroristic threats that occurred Monday on Interstate 99 in Worth Township. According to state police, the victim was driving on I-99 north when a Caucasian male passed him in a tan-colored Jeep on the right side. The male allegedly waved a handgun at him before continuing north toward State College. State police are continuing their investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Philipsburg or Rockview.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment via communications on Schofield Street. Police made contact with the person involved and advised them to cease their actions.
- Police are investigating a possible deer poaching in Irvin Park. Police say a deceased deer was found in the park with a bullet hole in its abdominal area. Anyone with information is asked to contact Curwensville Borough police.
- Clearfield County sheriff deputies were assisted with serving a protection from abuse order.
- Police investigated an alleged incident of fraud. According to police, an unknown source claimed to be with the Publishers Clearing House. Police would like to remind residents not to provide any personal information out over the phone.
- Police are investigating several incidents involving counterfeit money being used at local businesses. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Curwensville Borough police.
- Police received a report about a disgruntled patient at a local primary care facility. The patient allegedly threatened to bring in a firearm to the facility. Police located the patient and handled the situation without further incident.
- Police are investigating several alleged incidents of retail theft at a local establishment.
- Police received a report about a stolen bicycle from an Anderson Street residence. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Curwensville Borough police.
- Police received a report about a 911 hang-up call on Schofield Street. Police found that a small child was playing with a cellular phone. Police would like to ask parents not to let young children play with cellular phones because 911 calls can be made even if the phones are disconnected.
- Police assisted a Crisis worker with an individual who was in need of medical treatment. Curwensville Emergency Medical Services also assisted police.
Sandy Township
- On Friday an employee of the Clarion Hotel reported that a guest’s dog was barking and disturbing other guests.
- On Friday a Falls Creek woman lost control of her vehicle when she turned onto Larkeytown Road. Police say her vehicle hydroplaned and came to a rest against the guardrail. When she tried to back away from the guardrail, her front bumper came off. Her vehicle was towed from the scene, and no injuries were reported to police.
- Police received a report about a couple involved in a domestic dispute Friday at a Hanes Drive apartment. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at a Treasure Lake residence on Friday.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at a Wasson Avenue residence on Friday.
- On Saturday a 39-year-old DuBois man reported that while he and his wife were at a stop light on Maple Avenue, a vehicle hit theirs from behind and then its driver fled the scene. A witness obtained the license plate number for the suspect vehicle, and officers were able to locate the driver at a residence in Country Place. Charges were filed against the driver as a result.
- On Saturday police received a report about a couple involved in a domestic dispute at a Hanes Drive residence. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Saturday a 51-year-old Lower Burrell man reported that he had purchased a vehicle from a 32-year-old man who lived on Freedom Road. According to the report, the transaction was completed and the DuBois man was to have the vehicle delivered to Lower Burrell but never did. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Sunday a 55-year-old Hanes Drive woman reported her 62-year-old boyfriend had been drinking and was sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot. She was afraid he would drive away. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Sunday a 54-year-old Maple Avenue resident alleged that while she was out of town, someone broke into her apartment and stole jewelry. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Sunday a 60-year-old South Brady Street woman reported that her son and a friend took her vehicle without permission.
- Police investigated a 911 hang-up call from a Pacific Avenue residence Sunday. The call originated due to two sisters involved in a verbal dispute. Officers handled the situation without incident.
