DUBOIS – William L. Kurtz, PNC’s DuBois branch manager, visited DuBois Central Catholic to present a check from the PNC Foundation in the amount of $3,120 for a grant in support of the school’s Interactive Technologies/Classrooms of the Future.
The grant money was earmarked for the purchase of 24 OSMO Gaming Systems and 12 games for the system to be used with the school’s iPads for students in Pre-K through 5.
Taking part in the presentation were, from left, Kurtz; Sharon Varischetti, grant writer; Belinda Vasbinder, CFO; and Gregory R. Reese, relationship manager, PNC Erie.
Headmaster Gretchen Caruso explains, “This new educational accessory encourages creative thinking and social interaction, with games that address math concepts, spelling, reading, and visual thinking; the OSMO’s will be used as educational tools to supplement daily lesson plans.”
