CLEARFIELD – Road crews will begin 96 miles of roadway repair and improvement work across District 2 on May 26. Roads in Potter County will see the first of this activity as work gets underway on lower traffic volume routes in various counties.
Work will include seal coating, patching and pavement markings. Crews will be working on 18 different roads in Potter, Cameron, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, McKean and Mifflin counties from late May through September. Motorists may encounter flaggers or lane restrictions that could cause slight delays in travel. Drivers should remain alert for signage and slowed or stopped traffic.
Suite-Kote, Corporation of Cortland, New York is the contractor on the $4.3 million project.
PennDOT reminds motorists to move through all work zones with caution, obey posted speed limits and always buckle up. For more information on roadway construction and maintenance operations, visit PennDOT’s Web site.
