– Police reported an incident of driving under the influence at 2:55 a.m. Saturday along North Third Street in Clearfield Borough. A 22-year-old Clearfield woman was stopped for an equipment violation. She was reportedly determined to be under the influence. She was subsequently taken into custody for suspected DUI and transported to the Clearfield Hospital for a blood draw. Charges are to be filed pending the results of the blood draw.
– Police reported an incident of retail theft at 1:50 p.m. Sunday at the Country Garden Market in Decatur Township. An unknown male entered the store and reportedly placed a carton of cigarettes in his pants. He then reportedly attempted to leave the store.
As a result, the store owner confronted the man and forcibly took the cigarettes from him. The owner then reportedly had to wrestle the man to the ground; however, he was able to break the grasp and escape.
The suspect was described as wearing a gray sweatshirt that had “M.M.A.” written on it. He was also wearing a red had and brown “work-style” boots. He’s believed to be approximately 20 years old and has black hair, which is shoulder length. He stands approximately 6-feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He has a black goatee.
