PIKE TOWNSHIP – State police in Clearfield and Rescue Hose and Ladder Fire Company investigated a vehicle fire late Wednesday night.
According to police the fire occurred on 471 Weber Road, the residence of Charles Lee Records Jr., and originated in the cab of a 1995 Peterbuilt 379 extended hood truck/tractor. The fire consumed the cab and sleeper of the vehicle and melted the siding of the Records’ home.
Police said that while nothing suspicious was discovered, the specific cause of the fire could not be determined.
Damage is estimated at around $25,000.
