Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Glenn `GT’ Thompson, R-Howard, announced that the Department of Health and Human Services has awarded a $22,117 grant to Clarion University, for an advanced education nursing traineeship.
The grant, which is awarded under the Health Resources Services Administration, will allow the nursing department to help students in the Masters in Nursing Program train to become family nurse practitioners.
The grant is shared among the joint nursing programs at three schools: Clarion, Slippery Rock, and Edinboro Universities.
Those eligible must already have received a nursing degree and be working on their master’s program.
