Kenneth “Doyle” Dressler, 73, of DuBois died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017 at his home.
Born April 23, 1944, he was the son of the late Kenneth N. and Donna J. (Brubaker) Dressler.
On Sept. 11, 1965, he married Jean Henninger Dressler. She survives.
He retired as a systems engineer at IBM after 25 years of service. He was also the owner of D&D Electric.
He was a life member of the DuBois Volunteer Fire Department’s Volunteer Hose Co. No. 1.
He had served as the DuBois Volunteer Fire Department president and as president of the Volunteer Hose Co. No. 1 for the past 24 years.
He was member of the Lakeside United Methodist Church. For many years, he served on the board of directors at the DuBois Senior Citizens Center, and he was the inspector of elections for DuBois City Second Ward.
He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Cherry and her husband, Dr. James Cherry of Ocean Pines, Md., and Kathryn “Katie” Morrison and her husband, James of Holland, Pa.; a son, Eric Dressler of DuBois; a brother, Dennis L. Dressler and his wife, Janie of Rockton; and six grandchildren, Renee and Annemarie Cherry, Lia and Jillian Morrison and Abby and Olivia Dressler.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc.
A funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Lakeside United Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Kirby officiating.
Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
