State police at Clearfield
- State police responded to a crash that occurred Saturday on Morgan Road in Pike Township. According to the report, a vehicle operated by a 17-year-old girl was traveling west when she attempted to negotiate a left-hand curve in the road. She subsequently lost control and struck a tree on the north berm. She was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. State police were assisted by the Curwensville Rescue Hose & Ladder Co., and Emergency Medical Services, Clearfield EMS and towing services.
State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an incident of theft from a motor vehicle that occurred Thursday or Friday in Union Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole numerous items from a private vehicle, including GPS, Blue Tooth connector and electronic diffuser. State police at Philipsburg
- State police reported on drug-related incident that occurred Wednesday on Interstate 99 in Worth Township. According to state police, a vehicle operated by a State College male was stopped after a traffic violation. A small amount of marijuana, THC oil and paraphernalia were allegedly seized during the stop. Charges are to be filed through the district court.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Friday on Punkin Ridge Road in La Jose. During the incident, someone allegedly stole an early 1990’s Yamaha 350 Big Bear all-terrain vehicle. The ATV was green in color. - State police reported a hit-and-run crash that occurred Aug. 16 on Hatten Road in Pine Creek Township. According to state police, a vehicle was traveling north when its driver lost control for unknown reasons. It crossed into the southern lane and exited the western side of the roadway, striking a mailbox. Upon impact, the vehicle traveled around 40 feet until striking a flowerbed. - State police received a report about an incident of burglary that occurred Friday or Saturday on Water Street in Summersville Borough. - State police reported a DUI incident that occurred Saturday on Route 436 near its intersection with Hill Street in Young Township. According to state police, a vehicle operated by a 33-year-old Smock, Pa., man was stopped for a traffic violation. He was allegedly determined to be under the influence. Charges are currently pending at this time.
Clearfield Borough
- Police located an unsecured door at a local business in the downtown area. Police searched the building and did not locate anyone inside. A key holder responded and secured the building.
- Police assisted with unlocking a vehicle for the owner along East Locust Street.
- Police handled several parking violations.
- Police responded to the Sheetz store, where a juvenile male was allegedly shoplifting. Charges are pending on the male.
- Police fingerprinted a male on an outstanding warrant on previous theft charges.
- Police were notified about an ongoing complaint of speeding in the 400 block of East Locust Street.
- Police were dispatched to East 10th Street, where two females were reportedly attempting to gain entry into a parked vehicle. Police made contact with the females who stated that they were just waiting for a friend.
- Police were requested to assist Lawrence Township police with a warrant service in the Hyde area.
- Police were dispatched to South Second Street, where emergency personnel were responding for a report about a highly intoxicated male who was to be unconscious.
- Police were dispatched to collect syringes that were located along East Market Street. Police subsequently collected and disposed of them.
- Police responded to NW Fourth Avenue, where juveniles were reportedly attempting to gain entry into an old building. The juveniles fled prior to police arrival to the scene, however.
- Police were dispatched to East Market Street, where a male appeared to be under the influence. Upon arrival, police were unable to locate the male.
- Police handled an alleged incident of harassment via communications from a resident along Leavy Avenue.
- At approximately 12:19 a.m. Friday, police were dispatched to the JG Food Warehouse after a male had entered the store. He was located inside by staff; when police arrived, he was located outside. Upon further investigation, police found that he had entered the store after breaking a window. He was also allegedly found to be in possession of stolen merchandise. Police arrested the male and transported him to the jail on burglary and related charges.

- Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a Palmer Street residence. Upon arrival, police located the suspect who was believed to be under the influence. She was taken into custody and lodged in county jail; charges are to be filed against her.
Decatur Township
- Police responded to a report of a neighbor dispute on Perks Street.
- Police responded to a psychological emergency on Sarah Street. A male was subsequently transported by emergency personnel.
- Police located several suspicious vehicles but didn’t find anything criminal in nature.
- Police responded to the area of CVS Pharmacy for two males who were reportedly chasing another male on the railroad tracks with baseball bats. Police were unable to locate anyone, and the victim refused to cooperate.
Sandy Township
- On Wednesday police received a report from a 73-year-old New Jersey woman who stated that her Tablet was taken from her hotel room. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Wednesday police received a report about a 911 hang-up call made from a room at the Hampton Inn. Upon further investigation, it was found that there were several children in the room, and it is believed one made the call accidently.
- On Thursday police received a report about a dog lying in a yard along Circle Road. The caller believed it may be injured. Upon further investigation, officers found the dog to be OK, and it was able to get up and run off.
- On Thursday police responded to a Newell Road residence where a landlord was not allowing a tenant to remove their property from inside. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Thursday police were contacted by a 75-year-old township resident who reported receiving a call from a man who advised him that he had won $2 million. All he had to do to collect the winnings was send a personal check in the amount of $200 to a female in Florida, he told police. The man, however, recognized the call as a scam and did not send the money.
- On Thursday police received a report about an adult male and female harassing a 17-year-old girl at her place of work because they thought she’d spit in their daughter’s drink on a previous occasion. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
DuBois City
- Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the parking lot at the Medical Arts building. A female had backed her vehicle into a parked motorcycle, according to the report. Information was exchanged by those involved.
- Police were dispatched to the hospital for a psychiatric patient who was leaving prior to treatment and evaluation. Police were unable to locate the male in question, and information was forwarded to the police department where the male lived at.
- Police were dispatched for a reported domestic incident on Maple Avenue. Police made contact with those involved, and the incident is pending further information.
- Police received a report about suspicious vehicle parked in the woods at the end of a property on South Avenue. However, it was gone upon police arrival.
