Lucas becomes 49th Spike to reach majors

Josh Lucas, who pitched for the State College Spikes in 2013 and 2014, made his major league debut with the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday, August 19. Lucas became the 49th former Spikes player to reach the MLB ranks on the Road to the Show, presented by HRI, Inc., as he pitched two innings of relief against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
