Vera R. Forcey, 92, of Woodland died Saturday, July 29, 2017 at her home.
She was born Sept. 14, 1924 in Palestine, the daughter of the late Hillman and Gussie (Crowell) Hubler.
She was a loving mother and grandmother to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her love for babysitting was one of her favorite activities. She also loved helping out with her many nieces and nephews through the years.
She was a devoted member of the Dale United Methodist Church for 75 years.
She enjoyed going to antique auctions and built up a collection of various types of antiques. She also was an avid crocheter and quilter.
She is survived by her son, Terry and his wife, Annette Forcey of Woodland and a daughter-in-law, Mary (Mimi) Forcey of Woodland.
She is survived by four grandsons, Greg and his wife, Lisa Forcey, Brant and his wife, Melissa Forcey and Ross and his wife, Danielle Forcey, all of Clearfield, and Matthew and his wife, Michelle Forcey of Houston, Texas and nine great-grandchildren, Jarret, Ryan, Olivia, Brady, Max, Isabelle, Evan, Collin and Owen Forcey.
She is also survived by a brother, Clinton Hubler and his wife, Joanne of Morrisdale and four sisters-in-law, Jeanne Forcey, Catherine Forcey, Eleanor Forcey Moore and Katherine (Kitty) Forcey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maxwell W. Forcey Jr., who died Sept. 3, 1981; a son, Theodore (Ted) Forcey; and three siblings, Wava English, Alvin (Bud) Hubler and Levoy (Sis) Pelton.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Dale United Methodist Church, Dale Road, Woodland, with Pastor Brenda Libreatori and the Rev. Dr. Robert Ludrowsky officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the hour of services at the church on Monday.
