CLEARFIELD – A 35-year-old Treasure Lake woman, Cortney Mortimer, is Fugitive of the Week, announced District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. Mortimer is wanted for failure to appear at sentencing court July 25.
On April 25, Officer Paul Brosky of the DuBois City Police Department filed a criminal complaint, charging Mortimer with burglary, F2; criminal trespass, F3; and theft by unlawful taking, M1.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on April 24, Brosky was dispatched to a local business for a reported burglary. Upon arrival, Brosky obtained video surveillance from personnel.
At that time, the personnel were able to identify Mortimer in the video. She was allegedly removing items from the store. Mortimer was also identified using her driver information.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for June 2, at which time all charges were held to court. On July 25, Mortimer failed to appear at sentencing court, and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Mortimer is described as a Caucasian female who stands 5 feet, 4 inches tall. She has brown hair and blue eyes.
