Lewis Richard Kline, 82, of Niagara Falls, NY and formerly of Curwensville, died July 11, 2017 at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, Lewiston, NY.
Born Nov. 16, 1934 in Curwensville, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Emma (Robbins) Kline.
He moved to Niagara Falls in 1952 and married his beloved wife, Dorothy Jane (Mack) Kline, in Springville, NY on June 20, 1953.
He served in the U.S. Army until his honorable discharge 1961.
Mrs. Kline died Aug. 16, 2015 after spending 61 loving years with her husband.
Mr. Kline began working at the former Kimberly Clark, Niatec and Cascades for many years prior to his retirement in 2005.
He was also a very successful and well-respected real estate agent in the community for more than 45 years, retiring in April as chief operating officer of Great Lakes Reality.
In 2011, he was honored by the WNY Board of Realtors as a realtor emeritus for his involvement in the business for more than 40 years.
He was an avid New York Yankees fan and quick to recite the smallest detail and stats. He loved baseball and played in many local plant, church and slow-pitch leagues in the area.
He was also a fan of the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his cherished family.
Mr. Kline is survived by his daughter and caregiver, Susan (William) Kline and LuAnn (James) Conte; grandchildren, Steven Kline, Emma (William) Banagis, Holly Conte and Patrick Conte; one great-granddaughter, Lena Banagis; and siblings, Marie (late Forest) Stephens, William and (Alice) Kline, and he was preceded in death by sisters, Jane (late Michael) Pellish and Georgia (Alexander) Pawlukovich. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday at the M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Rd., Niagara Falls, NY, where a prayer service will follow at 5 p.m.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc., Curwensville.
A graveside funeral service will be held at approximately 11:30 a.m. Monday at Mount Zion Cemetery, Olanta, with the Rev. John F. White, officiating.
Military honors will be accorded at the graveside by members of the Clearfield Honor Guard.
