Ruth E. Anderson, 85, of Clearfield died Monday, July 10, 2017 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
She was born Feb. 28, 1932, a daughter of the late Raymond and Maude (Bird) Daniels.
Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker who loved putting together jigsaw puzzles and caring for her cats.
She always looked forward to attending the Curwensville First Baptist Church, where she held membership.
Mrs. Anderson will also be remembered for her love of singing and music.
She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Snedden of Minden, Iowa and Kathy Collar of Hyde; six grandchildren, Richard Snedden and Justin Collar, both of Clearfield, Matthew Snedden and Lisa Richner, both of Curwensville, Luanna Eikenberry of Iowa and Brian Collar of Kersey; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; a sister, Helen Daniels of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William ‘Swede’ R. Anderson, on Oct. 2, 2005.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Bill Anderson in 2014; two sisters, Margaret Johnson and Katherine Daniels; and a brother, John Robert Daniels.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Curwensville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Daniel M. Osterhout officiating. Burial will follow in the Bloomington Cemetery, Curwensville.
Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
