State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about deceptive business practices that occurred Sept. 27, 1971 at Lakelawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville. According to state police, the victim signed a contract for the purchase of a bronze marker and granite base. She paid $712. However, neither the base nor the marker has been ordered or placed at the grave site. State police said prosecution has been declined in this case due to the fact it’s beyond the five-year statute of limitations.
- State police received a report about deceptive business practices that occurred Nov. 28, 1979 at Lakelawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville. According to state police, the victim signed a contract for the purchase of a bronze marker and granite base. She paid $950.80. However, neither the base nor the marker has been ordered or placed at the grave site. State police said prosecution has been declined in this case due to the fact it’s beyond the five-year statute of limitations.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of indecent assault that occurred between April 1, 2012 and May 1, 2012 in Chest Township. During the incident, a Northern Cambria teen and an unknown female allegedly subjected the victim to unwanted physical contact. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Sandy Township
- On Wednesday police received a report about a man who was walking with two children along the Bee Line Highway near the Interstate 80 Bridge. He appeared to be bleeding from the head. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the man and children.
- On Thursday police received a report from a Wasson Avenue resident who had observed flashlights in her backyard. She also believed that she’d observed someone on her neighbor’s porch. Police checked the area and could not find anyone.
- On Thursday police received a report from a 57-year-old DuBois man who alleged that someone had taken no trespassing signs from his son’s Wilson Avenue home. Neighbors stated that they’d observed a known 56-year-old man taking the signs. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Thursday police reported that a 54-year-old Bellefonte woman lost control of her vehicle while attempting to turn from South Brady Street onto Dixon Avenue, causing it to hit a pole and become disabled. Police said that she appeared to be under the influence and was taken to Penn Highlands for a legal blood draw. Charges are currently pending at this time.
