PHILIPSBURG – Students from the Wallaceton area were held at three Philipsburg-Osceola schools this afternoon due to an active police investigation.
Superintendent Gregg Paladina said school officials held students at the P-O high and middle schools as well as P-O Elementary.
According to him, state police at Philipsburg have some streets blocked off in the Wallaceton area. “Our first priority is to keep our students safe,” he said.
He said school officials only have a few students left, as most were picked up by family members.
Paladina said he didn’t have any specific information on the nature of the state police’s investigation.
