Elizabeth L. Johnson, 85, of Indianapolis, Ind., and formerly of Phoenix, Ariz., and Philipsburg, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Rosegate Village in Indianapolis.
Born Oct. 3, 1931 in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late William T. and Lucille (Eisenhower) Marchello.
She was a graduate of the former Philipsburg High School. She then graduated from the former Philipsburg State General Hospital School of Nursing in 1952.
She was employed as a registered nurse throughout her working career at a number of hospitals. Most recently, she was employed and retired from Phoenix Baptist Hospital, Phoenix, Ariz.
She was a member of St. Louis the King Catholic Church, Glendale, Ariz.
She was married on June 10, 1958 in Philipsburg to Henry S. Johnson. He survives at Rosegate Village, Indianapolis.
She is also survived by one daughter, Diana L. Wysocki and her husband, Stephen F., of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Matthew, Bethany and Emily Wysocki; one brother, Jerome Marchello of Mayer, Ariz.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, William Marchello.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Osceola Mills, with Deacon Dennis Socash officiating.
The funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, Philipsburg.
