Catherine Laman, age 93, of South Eighth Street in DuBois, PA formerly of Locust Street in DuBois, PA died Friday, July 16, 2010 at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born on August 21, 1916 in Elbon, PA. She was the daughter of the late Tony and Constance (Rizzo) Mancuso.
In 1941, she married Joseph A. Laman. He preceded her in death in Feb. 17, 1997.Â
She worked at J.C. Penney Co. for 28 years where she was a clerk.Â
She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church in DuBois, PA. She enjoyed baking and cooking for friends and family.Â
She is survived by two sisters, Carolyn Ferraro of DuBois, PA and Orpha Zappia of DuBois, PA and one brother, James Mancuso of Brockway, PA.Â
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Sam Mancuso and three sisters, Rose Murone, Lucy Mancuso, and Mary Resoski.
Visitation was held on July 18 from 6-8 p.m. at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on July 19 at 1 p.m. from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic with Msgr. Siefer as celebrant.Â
Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery.Â
