- Police investigated a traffic collision that took place on July 16 at 5 a.m. on Market Street in Karthaus Township. The operator lost control of his motorcycle while negotiating a left curve in the roadway. The operator was flown by STAT MediVac to Altoona for treatment of his injuries. The investigation continues.
- Police report an incident of simple assault and domestic violence that occurred on July 11 at 4:15 p.m. at a residence at Hillcrest Commons. The incident occurred as a man and the alleged victim were engaged in an argument. He grabbed the the her and pushed her against the cabinets in the kitchen. He then grabbed the woman by the face and squeezed her cheeks causing one of the victim’s bottom teeth to fall out. He then fled the scene. Charges of simple assault and harassment were filed at District Court 46-3-03 in Kylertown, Pa and a warrant of arrest was issued for the accused.
- Police report an incident of harrasssment and domestic violence that occurred Thursday at 5:35 p.m. at a residence along Clark Road in Knox Township. The incident occurred as the accused individual engaged in an argument with a second accused individual who was sitting in her car. The first individual reached through the open sunroof of the car and struck the second accused individual in the right side of her face. The second individual then kicked through the driver’s side window of her car striking the first individual in the arm and stomach. The second individual then fled the scene. Charges of harassment will be filed at District Court 46-3-04 in Houtzdale.
