BROOKVILLE — The Clearfield Area High School boys track team narrowly defeated the host Brookville Raiders 77.5-72.5 on Tuesday afternoon to cap off a 9-0 undefeated dual meet season.
The girls, however were beaten 85-64 to close out their regular season at 3-6.
The boys had two triple winners on the day with Kyle Biancuzzo sweeping the distance events (800m, 1600m, 3200m) and Matt Collins sweeping the throws (shot put, discus, javelin).
Pratan Steiner won the 300 hurdles, Dave McKenzie won the high jump, and the boys won one relay, the 4×400.
Katrina Spencer (100 hurdles and 300 hurdles) and Jaclyn Freeman (1600m and 3200m) were double winners for the girls.
Individual event winners were Avry Grumblatt (400m), Nikki Brossard (high jump), Ally Lindstrom (triple jump), and Mikayle Rebo (discus). Like the boys team, the girls won the 4×400 relay.
Both teams will now prepare for the District 9 Championships, which are Wednesday May 17 at Brookville High School.
