CLEARFIELD – Lawrence Township police are seeking the public’s assistance with their investigation into a pair of alleged retail thefts at the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
The first incident occurred at approximately 7 a.m. April 18 and involved a male. The second incident occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. April 24; it involved the same male as well as a female.
According to police, the male stole a portable DVD player; two headlamp tool items; a micro SD card; a Verizon pre-paid phone; a phone charger; and a bag of dog food. These items have a total value of approximately $251.63.
Police say during the second incident, the couple stole a baby monitor; a Dyson vacuum; a Minnie Mouse booster seat; an Armorall automotive vacuum; make-up; and a box of diapers. These items have a total value of approximately $424.06.
The total amount stolen in the two thefts is approximately $712.70, the report says. The male allegedly made a fraudulent return on one or more of the stolen items and received store credit/cash.
Police described the male as being Caucasian with brown hair and facial hair. He was wearing a black, zip-up jacket, blue jeans, a camouflage hat and boots.
Police described the female as being Caucasian with brown/red hair with highlights. She was wearing a brown jacket, a black shirt, blue jeans with holes and carrying a white- or cream-colored purse.
During the second incident, police say the couple was with a young female infant.
After the first incident, the male left in a white Chevrolet Silverado. After the second incident, both left in a silver car, which police believe to also possibly be a Chevrolet.
