State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of theft by unlawful taking that occurred Saturday or Sunday on Parsonville Road in Decatur Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took a mailbox that had an eagle on its front and numbers along the side. State police said it was forcibly removed from the post that it was attached to. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
Lawrence Township
- Police assisted a Domestic Relations enforcement officer in an attempt to serve a warrant at an apartment in the township. However, police didn’t make any contact with the wanted person.
- Police received a report about a disabled vehicle in the area of the Route 879 Bypass.
- Police received a report about a lost or stolen license plate in the area of Daisy Street Extension.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications in the area of the Krebs Highway.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief to a vehicle at the Economy Inn. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police assisted a motorist on Route 879.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person on the Clearfield – Shawville Highway.
- Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident on Fire Tower Road.
Sandy Township
- Police reported a false alarm occurred at Bon Ton on Friday.
- Police reported that on Friday a 38-year-old DuBois woman was traveling down Commons Drive when a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old Cherry Tree woman pulled out from Midway Drive and hit her vehicle. Minor injuries and moderate damage were reported as a result, police said.
- On Saturday a 70-year-old Hungry Hollow man reported cars were racing up and down the road near his house. Officers checked the area and could not locate any vehicles passing by.
- On Saturday Treasure Lake Security reported an open door at a San Juan Road residence. Upon arrival officers found a door, which had been padlocked, was kicked open. There were also obvious signs of someone being in the house, which is currently in foreclosure, police said. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Saturday a Midway Drive resident reported that while her granddaughter was mowing her yard, an unknown woman stopped and started accusing the girl of mowing over rocks and hitting her vehicle. She said that the woman was yelling at her and then left the scene.
- On Saturday Treasure Lake Security reported several juveniles in an area that was designated as private property. They were also reportedly riding motorcycles. According to police, some of the juveniles fled the scene when security approached them. Security located a motorcycle and helmet in the area, which the juveniles denied any knowledge of. Three juveniles stayed in the area, and when police arrived, they were uncooperative and rude. When they eventually cooperated, they were taken into custody and then released to adults. Following the release of the juveniles, officers received a report from another juvenile who alleged that his motorcycle was taken from his driveway and his helmet from his garage. Police are continuing the investigation at this time.
- On Saturday police received a report about a possible intoxicated person in the woods off of Madison Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located a 30-year-old DuBois man hunched over on a bank. When he was assisted to his feet, officers could detect a strong odor of alcohol. The man was cooperative, and he was transported to his father’s residence on Tozier Avenue.
- On Saturday Falls Creek Sheetz employees reported a man was acting suspicious at the store. He was asking people for money and when he got some, he bought one beer and went to his vehicle to drink it. Upon arrival, police located the man and found him to be having a medical emergency. He was transported to Penn Highlands by emergency personnel to be evaluated.
- On Sunday an 18-year-old man who lives with his grandmother reported that his 37-year-old mother came into the home and into his bedroom, knocking over items in the room and asking for money. When he refused and asked her to leave, she allegedly got upset, pushing and striking him. He also told police that while she was leaving the residence, she picked up an object and threw it at a vehicle that was sitting on the property.
- Police responded to Stella Jones for a 911 hang-up call on Sunday. Upon arrival, it was found to be an accidental dial.
- On Sunday a 68-year-old Loganton woman reported that her vehicle was hit and damaged while it was parked at the DuBois Mall or the Commons.
