State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Thursday at the Kwik Fill in Cooper Township. During the incident, a 56-year-old Kylertown man allegedly engaged in a threatening verbal confrontation with the victims. Charges will be filed through the district court.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred April 9 at the Woodland Park. During the incident, someone allegedly stole the victim’s iPhone 5 and straight talk plan with sim cards from a park bench. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of theft/forgery on Wednesday on Black Moshannon Road in Rush Township. During the incident, a female allegedly used the victim’s credit card without his permission. It remains under investigation at this time.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment by communications. Police made contact with those involved, spoke with them about their actions and told them if it continued they would be arrested.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a person at a local motel on the Clearfield-Woodland Highway.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle in the area of the Clearfield – Glen Richey Highway.
- Police assisted a resident who had questions about carrying firearms.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespassing on Mill Road. Upon arrival, police located multiple actors at the scene.
Sandy Township
- On Monday, police received a report about a man who was attempting to punch cars as they passed by him in the Sandy Plaza parking lot. Upon arrival, officers observed a 27-year-old Arizona man without any shoes on and his shirt unbuttoned; he was also flailing his arms. Police said he was “acting strange and very agitated” and would not comply with commands. He allegedly made an aggressive move toward officers. Police attempted to get the man to stop, but when he wouldn’t follow commands, they deployed a taser. Police said he was then able to be restrained and transported to Penn Highlands for evaluation and treatment.
- On Monday, an employee of a maintenance company reported a home in Treasure Lake, which they had been working on, had been broken into and several locks and other items had been taken from it. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Monday, a 41-year-old DuBois woman was in the drive-up lane at Dairy Queen when her vehicle was hit by the one behind hers. Police said when she tried to speak to the driver, he backed up his vehicle and fled the scene. The woman told police he appeared to be in his 20’s and had grease all over his face. There also was an unrestrained female toddler in the backseat, she said. Minor to moderate damage was reported, and police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Tuesday, an 82-year-old Rockton Road man reported receiving a phone call from someone who was claiming to be his grandson in need of $1,000 for bail money. He recognized the call as a scam and refused to give them any information.
- On Wednesday a Maple Avenue resident reported that a 36-year-old man who he had been allowing to stay with him, came home drunk and they got into a verbal dispute. He then allegedly punched him in the face and left the apartment. Police located the man, and he was taken into custody and to jail on a 48-hour detainer. Charges for public drunkenness are to be filed, according to the report.
- On Wednesday, a tractor-trailer driven by a 36-year-old San Antonio, Texas man pulled down utility wires while pulling into the Falls Creek Sheetz.
DuBois City
- Police were requested to make contact with a female who wanted them to respond to her Morrison Street residence. Upon their arrival, she told police she was having problems with three people. Police subsequently contacted each person and advised them to neither have contact with nor go to the female’s residence anymore. They agreed, police said in the report.
- Police received a report about two males who were running after slashing a tire in the 100 block of Robinson Street. Upon arrival, police were unable to locate anyone in the area. Police spoke to witnesses who stated a male had been hanging around the vehicle while the other male was running down the road. The other eventually caught up, they said, and both males were last seen running on Quarry Avenue toward Guy Avenue. Police still haven’t been able to locate anyone and are continuing their investigation at this time.
