Foster W. Phillips, 78, of Morrisdale died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.
Born Nov. 21, 1938 in Boggs Township, he was the son of the late Arthur and Thelma Grace (Richards) Phillips.
He married Mildred (Knepp) Phillips, who preceded him in death Dec., 11, 2008.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Fay, Mabel and Rachael; three brothers, Stanley, Arthur and Samuel; and a grandson, Stanley.
Mr. Phillips was of the Christian faith. He was a retired truck driver for G.O. Hawbaker in State College.
He is survived by his companion, Edith C. Gonzalez, who resides at home; two daughters, Joyce Twoey and her husband, Douglas of RD Osceola Mills and Penny Gladden and her husband, Bob of Curwensville; and one son, Foster S. Phillips and his companion, Beverly Olson of West Decatur.
He is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Morris and her husband, Cecil of Woodland and Carol Beck and her husband, Gilbert of Houtzdale; two brothers, Ronald Phillips and his wife, Jacqueline and James Phillips and his wife, Carolyn of West Decatur. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Jerry Spencer and Edward Hugill co-officiating. Burial will be at the Baughman Cemetery in RD Houtzdale.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
